objection
We believe in grace too
Objection
Latter-day Saints believe in grace too.
What is true
LDS sources do teach grace and Christ's atonement.
Why it is not enough
The issue is the system: exaltation is tied to restored priesthood, ordinances, temple covenants, and becoming gods.
Key question: Can someone receive LDS exaltation without LDS temple covenants?
Concede grace language honestly
A weak argument says Latter-day Saints do not believe in grace. Official LDS material does speak of Christ's grace, atonement, repentance, and divine help.
The stronger argument asks how grace functions in the whole system. In LDS doctrine, the highest saving goal is exaltation and it is tied to covenants, worthiness, temple ordinances, sealing, and restored authority.
Works as fruit differs from exaltation requirements
Christianity teaches that obedience matters. Ephesians 2 says believers are created in Christ for good works.
But good works as the fruit of salvation are not the same as a restored temple path to exalted godhood. That structural difference is the point.
